Project description

The expansion of the first state university, founded in 1755. An inexhaustible continuation of elitism and the development of tradition.

The university complex of Moscow State University (MSU) on Sparrow Hills is a symbol of a new enlightened era. It was built between 1949 and 1953 on a 100-hectare plot. The main building of MSU is the most striking of the seven skyscrapers constructed under Stalin and remained the tallest building in Europe for 40 years, until 1990.
