Our story
PUTEVI AD Užice, originating from the “Technical Section for Roads” of the Republic of Serbia, was officially established in 1962 by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in the city of Titovo Užice, in the former Yugoslavia.
Since its transformation into a joint-stock company in 2000, PUTEVI AD Užice has strengthened its position as a recognized general contractor on both domestic and international markets. With more than six decades of experience, the company has built a reputation not only in the road construction industry but also in the successful execution of complex building construction and high-rise engineering projects.
For more than 40 years, the company has maintained a strong presence in international markets, delivering projects across Iraq, Israel, Russia, Algeria, Italy, and the United States. While expanding globally, PUTEVI AD Užice has remained deeply connected to its origins, continuously transferring knowledge, experience, advanced technology, and modern equipment gained abroad to enhance road construction standards in Serbia.
If you have ever traveled to Zlatibor, you have likely noticed the state-of-the-art machinery and Volvo trucks standing like disciplined soldiers in the quarry near Užice, ready for their next assignment. Even today, they can be seen operating on construction sites across Serbia. This image represents a part of who we are—an enduring symbol of our history and our long-standing commitment to road construction. We proudly carry the legacy that has shaped us and continues to position us among the leaders in the road construction industry.

Today, the company proudly employs the third generation of families whose predecessors helped build its legacy. Many of the company’s projects have received international recognition and have been featured in professional publications, architectural exhibitions, and industry awards. Among the most notable are:
· Construction works for the Olympic facilities at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi
· The campus of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow, awarded the UNESCO Prix Versailles in Paris in 2018 as the world’s best university campus (designed by Herzog & de Meuron)
· The Novatek office building in Moscow, recipient of the International Architecture Award and Russia’s highest national architectural recognition, the Zolotoe Sechenie Grand Prix (designed by SPEECH architectural bureau, architects Sergei Tchoban and Sergey Kuznetsov)

Founder’s Message
"As a young engineer, eager for knowledge, new experiences, and the opportunity to prove myself, I knew that Putevi could fulfill my ambition for success. For me, Putevi was like a golden carriage that I was fortunate to board. Through dedication and tireless work, day and night, I was able to move from that carriage into the locomotive—accelerating the entire train and reaching the destination I had envisioned.
The desire for better, higher quality, and more beautiful results was always the guiding principle of my daily work. Today, after 40 years at the helm of Putevi, I am grateful for the opportunity to publicly thank all my colleagues and associates, business partners, and investors for their trust, cooperation, understanding, and belief in me and in my company.
I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to my family for their constant support and understanding, and with special respect to my wife Vesna, who carried the responsibility of both mother and father in raising our children.
I am proud that today, after 50 years of existence, Putevi has become a synonym for quality construction and reliability. The average age within the company is 35 years—a youthful energy that drives everything forward, a force that never stops. Surrounded by this energy and strength, I have remained forever ready for new challenges and achievements.
